Do you want to discover Catalonia’s most famous mountain in a unique way? Join our horse riding half-day tour to Montserrat and admire the beautiful scenery along the National Park.
Tour Description
We'll depart from Calle Roger de Llúria, 117, Barcelona, by minibus headed toward Montserrat Mountain at the designated time. During the one-hour ride, sit back and admire Barcelona and the singular corrugated summit of Catalonia’s most emblematic elevation.
Once you reach the destination, enter the beautiful tenth-century Romanesque Montserrat Monastery at the top of the mountain, accompanied by your professional bilingual guide. Discover the history of this Benedictine monastery, still inhabited by 150 monks and the Virgin of Montserrat. This small Virgin Mary and Child statue is the most revered icon in Catalonia and the province’s patron saint.
Upon arrival at the equestrian center, embark on a memorable horseback ride (after receiving some initial instructions) in the scenic natural park. During the horse trekking, your instructor will give you riding tips and how to groom a horse.
After a fun day enjoying nature, take the bus back to Barcelona and drop you off at Gran Via Carlos III, 100 (El Corte Ingles). You'll be back in the city center after a total of 5.5 hours.
