Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art MACBA Ticket
Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art MACBA Ticket
MACBA, the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art, is home to one of the most important collections of avant-garde art in Spain.
Located in the heart of the Raval district, the museum is spread across three prominent locations in the Plaça dels Àngels. It includes the main building, designed by the prestigious architect Richard Meier; the Center for Studies and Documentation and the Convent dels Àngels, which houses its own exhibition space called La Capilla.
As part of the MACBA's permanent collection, you'll find an extraordinary exhibition of contemporary art, highlighting works created after 1945. What's more, your ticket gives you access to the various temporary exhibitions organized by the museum, which are dedicated to disciplines including the visual arts, film, music and photography.
Among the most important works in the MACBA's collection are: Rinzen by Antoni Tàpies; Keith Haring's All Together We Can Stop AIDS mural; the ceramic composition Barcelona by Eduardo Chillida and Jorge Oteiza's sculpture The Wave.
We also highly recommend taking the time to visit the MACBA's panoramic terrace, where you can watch skateboarders in the Plaça dels Àngels.
