At the indicated time, we'll meet at Plaça Garriga i Bachs to start this exciting free tour of the Gothic Quarter's mysteries and legends. Time to discover its most surprising stories!
From this square, located on the right side of the majestic Barcelona Cathedral, we'll begin a tour full of excitement and mystery. From there, we'll walk to the enigmatic Casa de l'Ardiaca, a very peculiar corner of the city and the witness of fascinating legends. What secrets does it hide?
The next stop will be Plaça de Sant Iu, which will take us back to the 16th century when it was finished. We'll continue the free tour walking to Palau de Lloctinent, which was used as the viceroy's residence and even as the headquarters of the Holy Inquisition. There, we'll see some very interesting sculptures.
Afterwards, Plaça del Rei will welcome us with its imposing Gothic and Renaissance buildings. Did you know that this was the seat of the government of the Counts of Barcelona and the Kings of Aragon?
We'll continue our route in Plaça de Sant Jaume, one of the oldest squares in Barcelona, where we'll discover the political heart of the city. We'll pass under the romantic Pont del Bisbe and arrive at the charming Plaça de Sant Felip Neri, where the scars of the past are evident in the walls that surround it.
Finally, after 2 enriching hours, we'll bring the tour to an end back at the meeting point.
