With this ticket to the KBr Fundación MAPFRE Barcelona Photo Center, you'll visit a space that understands photography as a way to promote creativity and cultural dynamism in the Catalan capital. 

It has two exhibition halls, a bookstore, an area for educational activities, and a multipurpose auditorium. Do you want to know why it has become a national and international reference in the field of photography? This exhibition hall is located in one of the most iconic buildings of modern Barcelona: the MAPFRE Tower, located in the beautiful area of Port Olimpic. 

In addition to exhibitions, the KBr Fundación MAPFRE Barcelona Photo Center offers educational programs, training for new talents, conferences, workshops, international photographic awards, and a host of interesting activities.

Opening Times

KBr Fundación MAPFRE Barcelona Photo Center is open from Tuesday to Sunday at the following times:

• April 1 - September 30: from 11 am to 8 pm
• October 1 - March 31: from 11 am to 7 pm
• December 24 and 31 and January 5: from 11 am to 3 pm

Although you select a specific time during the booking process, you can visit the KBr Fundación MAPFRE Barcelona Photo Center at any time during opening times on the day of your visit. Final admission is 30 minutes before closing time.

A propósito del paisaje - José Guerrero

The work of José Guerrero (Granada, 1979) is a continuous exploration of the representation and perception of landscape and architecture through photography. His images are organized into series depicting places rich in iconographic and historical significance (La Mancha, Carrara, Sierra Nevada, the River Thames…) that transform the landscape into a living, dynamic entity. Through the viewer's cultural background and the photographer's masterful use of light, color, and atmosphere, his work constructs a poetic reading of space—one filled with meaning and connotations.

This exhibition traces more than 20 years of his career to date.

For this temporary exhibition, you'll have access to an audio guide in English. 

Bravo - Felipe Romero Beltrán

Bravo, from the Colombian Felipe Romero (1992), is the award-winning project of the second edition of the KBr Photo Award, which was launched by the MAPFRE Foundation in 2021. Like his other works, Bravo presents a reflection on a setting of tension and conflict: a stretch of the Rio Bravo that forms part of the more than a thousand kilometers of border between Mexico and the United States that follows its course. Through images of people, landscapes, and architecture, Bravo creates a sober and poetic visual essay centered around the concept of waiting and border identity.
