At the time indicated, we'll meet at Mercado del Born to start this free tour of the mysteries and legends of one of the most popular neighbourhoods in Barcelona.
Firstly, we'll walk down the Avenue of El Born before arriving at the Basilica of Santa María del Mar. Inside, you'll see a figure of the Birgin Mary looking towards Montcada Street. Why is she doing this? You'll find out!
We'll continue onto Placeta d’En Marcús Square and the Santa Catarina Market. According to legend, here you could find a well whose water was believed to do miracles, such as cure malaria that troubled the city in 1835.
Then, we'll head to the Catalan Music Palace, which is located in an old convent and has a history of pests, mortality and destruction, as well as the Monastery of San Pedro de las Puellas.
Finally, we'll head back to the starting point after a 2-hour free tour. See you again soon!
