Fishing in Río Zuñac & Barbecue
Activity Details
After picking you up at your hotel in Baños at the designated time, we'll set off toward the Rio Zuñac Reserve. Upon arrival, we'll provide all the necessary equipment to walk in the river and look for the famous carachama (pineapple pleco fish) and wels catfish.
We'll show you a traditional fishing method, where you'll use wires and your own hands to catch the fish. This experience will make you feel like a real local! Afterward, we'll see who was the luckiest catching fish.
After fishing, to celebrate the day, we'll take you to the town of Río Negro, where you'll enjoy a barbecue-style lunch with a local family. You won't just be at a conventional restaurant–you'll enjoy an authentic experience where you can taste fish surrounded by the site's luscious vegetation. Plus, you'll get to eat the fish you caught!
Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Baños to conclude this 4-hour activity.
