Description
At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel for an exciting tour of all the highlights in Bani.
Our excursion will take us to the outskirts of this Dominican city to visit the dunes of Bani, a vast sea of sand made up of sediments from the Bani and Nizao rivers and the Bahia stream. Here you'll be able to do an exciting sandboarding activity. These sand dunes measure up to 115 feet high! Nearby, we'll be able to admire the local vegetation, such as red mangroves, olive tree trees, cambron, and cacti.
Next destination: the Salado Muerto lagoon and the salt mines, founded by Nicolas de Ovando back in colonial times. The residents in this area of the country make their living from the production and distribution of this particular mineral resource.
Then, we'll head to the city center and visit the cathedral of Nuestra Señora de Regla, a colonial temple with traces from the 18th century. Inside, we'll find the statue of the Virgin of Regla, which dates back to 1889.
After this visit, we'll drive you back to your hotel, arriving at 1 pm.
