Railway Market, Floating Market & Ayutthaya Ruins Tour
Railway Market, Floating Market & Ayutthaya Ruins Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in the centre of Bangkok to commence the 1 hour 30 minute journey southwest to Maeklong Railway Market.
When we arrive you'll see how the bustling market sits on train tracks that are still in use to deliver goods around Thailand. If you're lucky you'll have the chance to see how vendors move their varied products out of the way for the trains to fly past.
Next, we'll visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. This market winds its way around a maze of canals where local vendors sell their array of products in traditional boats. We'll board a boat and start to shop in true Thai style.
After some free time to enjoy lunch and the charm of the area, we'll head to the historic city of Ayutthaya. This place was the capital of the Kingdom of Siam from the 14th to the 18th century, as well as an important commercial centre. This beautiful historical park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The guide will be sure to give you all sorts of interesting details about the significance of the various Buddhas and temples in this fascinating complex.
After touring this unique location in Thailand, we'll return to the capital, where you'll arrive at your hotel between 7 and 8 pm.
