Frozen Waterfalls of Johnston Canyon Trip
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Mount Royal Hotel parking lot and then head deep into the Banff National Park. In about half an hour we'll reach the spectacular frozen waterfalls of Johnston Canyon.
After a brief presentation on the route we're going to follow, we'll start the fantastic hike along the walkways of Johnston Canyon. Along the way, you'll enjoy impressive views of the amazing snowy wilderness that surrounds us.
In total, our journey will cover a distance of 5.4 kilometers (3.4 miles) and 135 meters (443 feet) of altitude. Some of the amazing frozen natural features you'll see in this unique Canadian landscape include waterfalls, lakes, and ravines. The guide will also tell you fascinating secrets about the canyon and how it formed, paying special attention to the fossils in the rocks.
During the walk, you'll have plenty of opportunities to capture these beautiful winter landscapes on your camera. To reenergize and warm up, we'll enjoy a tasty hot chocolate and some cookies.
Finally, we'll return to the original starting point of our tour of Johnston Canyon and board the minibus to return to the meeting point in Banff after a 4-hour excursion.
