On this excursion to Pomerode, Timbó and Rodeio from Balneario Camboriú we'll discover the influence of the German and Italian cultures in Brazil. It'll be like changing continent!
Pomerode, Timbó & Rodeio Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Balneario Camboriú at 8 am and start an unforgettable tour through the so-called European Valley of Santa Catarina, where the influence of the Italian and German cultures blend perfectly with the Brazilian scenery.
The first town we'll visit is Rodeio, located in the Itajaí Valley. We'll discover the history of the town, which was colonised by Italians and whose mark is still visible in its streets. We'll see the monuments of the centre, among which the church of St. Francis of Assisi stands out.
In Rodeio we'll also discover its great winemaking tradition. To do so, we'll visit two local wineries and learn about the process they follow to produce exquisite wines.
We'll continue travelling by minibus to Timbó. When we get there, we'll take a walking tour of an hour and a half to see its most iconic monuments. The Jardín del Inmigrante Tourist Complex, the Music Museum and a traditional brewery are just some of the places we'll pass through - perfect for discovering the German heritage in Timbó!
Feeling hungry? We'll go to a restaurant where we'll enjoy a buffet lunch. With our batteries recharged, we'll visit Pomerode, a little piece of Germany in Brazil. There you'll have four hours of free time to explore the streets of the city.
Finally, we'll visit Craft Brewery Shop and Pub Schornstein, a place famous for the quality of the beer they brew. Did you know that it has received numerous awards? As well as tasting it, we'll take home a personalised mug as a souvenir.
Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Balneario Camboriú, where the tour will end at 8 pm.
