Sierpe River Mangrove Kayak Tour
Description
We'll start the route at 6 am, meeting next to the Bahía Drake school. We'll head to Playa Colorada on foot, where we'll board a water taxi.
After 30 minutes of navigating along the coast of Bahía Drake and Playa Guaruras, we'll arrive in the Isla Violín region. From here, we'll start our kayak tour, which will allow us to enter the Sierpe Riverand its leafy mangroves.
As we paddle, we'll discover the incredible biodiversity of the river. Monkeys, sloths, birds, crocodiles and many other animals form part of this ecosystem in the south of Costa Rica. It's also an area with outstanding nature since the mangroves are part of the Humedal Nacional Térraba Sierpe and the Reserva Forestal Golfo Dulce.
With our kayak route over, we'll return to the water taxi. We'll set sail from the Sierpe Mangroves at 12 pm. After half an hour, we'll arrive back at Bahía Drake.
