Scuba Diving for Beginners on Caño Island
Activity Details
At the indicated time, we’ll meet on Los Planes Street to kick off an unforgettable adventure in Drake Bay: your very first diving experience. Before we set off, we’ll cover the basics—how the equipment works and the key safety guidelines. Already familiar with them? Let’s get ready to sail then!
We’ll cruise for about 40 minutes to reach the Caño Island Biological Reserve—one of best places in Costa Rica to learn how to dive. Once there, we’ll help you gear up and ease into the water. Step by step, we’ll go through some adaptation exercises to prepare you for your very first dive.
After a 45-minute dive, we’ll return to the boat and take a well-deserved break on Caño Island’s main beach—perfect for relaxing and soaking in the tropical scenery.
Next, we’ll head to a second dive site for another 45-minute session. With your confidence growing, you'll dive deeper into the experience, literally, and enjoy the stunning marine life at a more relaxed pace.
To wrap things up in the best way possible, we’ll visit San Josecito Beach, where fresh fruit, cookies, and cool water await—alongside unbeatable ocean views.
Finally, we’ll head back to our original meeting point, bringing our incredible 7.5-hour journey to an end.
