At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance of La Casa del Aceite, located in the Plaza de la Constitución in Baeza. Are you ready to taste the liquid gold? Let's start the olive oil tasting!
As soon as we enter, we'll begin to discover the culture of olive oil in Jaén, learning the basics of this precious product. From the first crops through to the variety of olive trees and plantations in Baeza and to the differences in the quality of the olive oils produced. Through images, we'll see how the picking of the olives and the production of the oil is usually done. If you didn't know it before, you'll be surprised!
Afterwards, we'll sit at the table and taste 3 olive oils of different varieties to appreciate the sensory qualities of each one of them. For the tasting, we'll have an official blue or red tasting glass and a card to write down all the notes that we pick up on while we taste them.
The tasting will also be accompanied by apples and bread, the perfect condiments to cleanse the palate between tastings. Finally, we'll have a small tasting of a selection of gastronomic products made with EVOO, such as speciality chocolate. You'll fall in love with the culture of olive oil!
After an hour and 15 minutes of experience, we'll say goodbye and end the activity, see you next time!
