Beauty in its purest form awaits you on this guided tour of Bad Tölz. We'll stroll through the old town of this Bavarian town and discover its secrets while admiring its colorful houses and the Pre-Alps.
Bad Tölz Guided Tour
At the appointed time we'll meet at Max-Höfler-Platz to start our guided tour through Bad Tölz. Colorful houses, a peaceful atmosphere and a breathtaking view of the Isar River and the Pre-Alps will be the highlights of this tour.
We'll start with a walk through the town as we take a look at the most fascinating chapters of its history. Although Bad Tölz has been recorded since the 12th century, it was not until 1331 that it began to gain prominence. To find out why, we'll have to discover who Emperor Ludwig IV of Bavaria was.
On our walk we'll see the façade of the old town hall, today's museum of Bad Tölz, we'll see the parish church of the Assumption and we'll give you some gastronomic recommendations so that you can visit some emblematic places after the visit.
Of course, we'll also discuss how the area has evolved since the mid-19th century when Bad Tölz started to become one of the most important spa towns in Bavaria. You'll not stop learning new things!
After an hour and a half of sightseeing, we'll end our guided tour of Bad Tölz with a farewell at the Marktstrasse, designed by the architect Gabriel von Seidl.
