With your ticket to the Pressoria Wine Museum in Aÿ-Champagne, you'll discover the fascinating world of sparkling drinks made in France. You'll also attend a champagne tasting session during your visit.
Pressoria Wine Museum Ticket & Champagne Tasting
Pressoria is located in the commune of Aÿ-Champagne, at the foot of a World Heritage site. This museum, which is dedicated to sparkling wines, is located within the building of the Maison Pommery champagne company's former pressing centre. Today, it's considered one of the main wine tourism spots in the Marne department in France's Grand Est region.
If you buy this ticket to the museum, you'll be able to explore Pressoria's interactive exhibition at your leisure. This immersive journey will activate all five senses as you learn all about the geology and climate of this region. You'll see how these factors are vital for the perfect grape harvest and the subsequent champagne that's made, the effervescence of which has to meet a series of requirements.
During your visit to the museum, you'll also come across candles, toys, books, textiles and other sommellerie objects that form part of the wonderful world of champagne. In addition, you'll learn about the history of the master glassmaker René Lalique, who was born in Aÿ-Champagne in 1860.
Your route through Pressoria Museum, which will last around 1 hour 30 minutes, will be capped off with a tasting of two champagnes made from locally-grown grapes. If you're taking the tour with children or if you don't drink alcohol, you can substitute the sparkling wines with two juices.
