Doing this wine tasting in Aveiro you'll learn to differentiate and pick out the nuances of the wines from the north of Portugal. We'll taste 3 types of wine!
Description
At the indicated time we'll start our Portuguese wine tasting at Entre Copos e Chávenas, right in the centre of Aveiro.
For 45 minutes, we'll take a sensory journey through the oenological tradition of northern Portugal, tasting 3 glasses of Port wine with very different flavours and aromas. We'll have the opportunity to taste the Porto Dry White, which we'll accompany with cured cheese, the Porto Ruby, which we'll pair with chocolate, and the Porto Tawny, which we'll drink with some nuts.
We'll take a look at the contrasts between a dry white, a Ruby and a Tawny. The latter comes from red grapes and is aged in barrels or oak casks for years. Ruby wines, on the other hand, are mainly aged in glass bottles for 1 to 3 years.
In addition, during this oenological experience, an expert in the field will guide you to appreciate the most characteristic features of each wine. You'll learn to distinguish their main characteristics, becoming true professionals at the end of the tasting.
