Hobbiton & Rotorua Tour

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Auckland and start this day trip to Hobbiton and Rotorua. Let's go!

On the way south, we'll cross the Waikato countryside, the largest agricultural area in the world. Keep your eyes peeled for big mountains, a variety of friendly animals, rushing rivers and beautiful scenery.

After this tour, we'll arrive at our first destination, Hobbiton. We'll spend 2 hours touring The Shire and telling you all the details and secrets of the set of The Lord of the Rings. We'll also enjoy a drink in the legendary Green Dragon™ Inn. There's nothing better than enjoying a hobbit beer by the fireside!

After this experience, we'll continue our journey to Rotorua until we reach Te Puia Park, where we'll go in search of the famous Pōhutu Geyser to see the power of geothermal activity in this area. We'll also get an insight into Māori culture by witnessing their iconic Haka and learning some of their songs.

We'll then enjoy a scenic drive around Rotorua's iconic landmarks such as Lake Rotorua, the Rotorua Museum, the Government Gardens, Whangapipiro Spring and the Blue Baths - the perfect finale to our time together!

Finally, we'll bid farewell at the departure point 13 hours after the start of the activity.
