Tour the Greek capital in search of its monuments and lesser-known corners with this alternative tour of Athens - a different way of discovering the life of the locals!
Authentic Athens Guided Tour
We'll meet at Syntagma Square at the indicated time and start a tour that'll take us to see the most alternative facades of the Greek capital. Athens is a city full of contrasts, as it perfectly combines its incredible and rich past with today's society. Let's discover it!
Nearby we'll find the Ancient Royal Palace, which today houses the Council of the Hellenes or Parliament of Greece. From there we'll walk along the elegant neighbourhoods of Athens, where we'll see some of the ruins of the city or the School of Fine Arts, a grand building that you'll love.
We'll then pass by the new buildings of Athens, perfect examples of the modernist movements that the city has experienced in recent decades. We'll also walk through some of the busiest streets of the city, full of bars and restaurants whose walls are covered with graffiti.
We'll continue the tour of alternative Athens until we reach the Flea Market, located in the Monastiraki neighbourhood. Did you know that it has four different religions? This area is a true reflection of the coexistence of the West and the East.
We'll end the tour at the market after 4 hours.
