Delphi Day Trip
Delphi Day Trip
At the designated time, we'll meet at Athanasiou Diakou, number 26, to head to Delphi, a fascinating town declared a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to the world-famous Temple of Apollo.
On the way, we'll drive past the hilly region of Boeotia and the city of Thebes, a major site in Greek mythology, without stopping. The tour also includes a brief stop at Livadeia for a quick break to get a coffee or go to the toilet.
After a journey from Athens of about 3 hours, we'll arrive in Delphi, known in antiquity as the center of the world. Once here, we’ll spend 2.5 hours visiting the Monument to the Argos Kings, the Athenian Treasury and the famous Temple of Apollo. Next, we'll marvel at the masterpieces housed in the Delphi Archaeological Museum, including the impressive Charioteer of Delphi.
Then, you'll have 1.5 hours of free time to eat a delicious traditional Greek lunch at a family-run restaurant (optional). Afterwards, we'll return to Athens.
We'll conclude this day trip by returning to the meeting point, where we'll arrive 10 hours after pickup.
