This activity combines a panoramic bus tour of Athens with a guided visit of the Acropolis and its Museum—ideal for discovering the capital of Greece!

Activity Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at 26 Athanasiou Diakou Street for a panoramic tour of the centre of Athens.

Along the bus route, we'll pass Syntagma Square, the National Garden, Hadrian's Arch, St. Paul's Church, the House of Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Catholic Cathedral, the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, the National Library, the Panathenaic Stadium, the Zappeion and the Temple of Olympian Zeus.

The highlight of the tour is a visit to the Acropolis, the symbol of Athens. Once inside, we'll have the opportunity to see many of the most famous monuments of Classical Greece: the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Propylaea. After the tour, we'll have about 30 minutes of free time.

Coming down from the ‘Upper City’, we'll make our last stop at the Acropolis Museum, the most important museum of the city. Here, we'll guide you through its most important works, explaining their significance.

Finally, after a tour of about 5 hours, we'll conclude this activity in the Acropolis area.

Gracias a Kimon, nuestro guia, el tour por la ciudad y las visitas a la Acrópolis y a su Museo fueron increíbles... la historia arcaica, clásica y moderna de Grecia y especialmente de Atenas al igual que su mitología las cuenta increíble y te vas de este tour con un conocimiento que yo personalmente no esperaba. Thanks to Kimon, our guide, the city tour and visits to the Acropolis and its Museum were incredible... the archaic, classical, and modern history of Greece, and especially of Athens, as well as its mythology, are incredibly well-represented, and you leave this tour with a knowledge that I personally didn't expect. Las explicaciones por parte de la guía y su gran disposición a solucionar tanto nuestras dudas como situaciones que surgieron durante la visita bien pero para lo que cuesta la entrada museo + acrópolis sin guía y lo que pagamos nosotros con la guía es desproporcionado aunque ya digo que la guía estuvo muy bien. En realidad pensábamos que también incluía entrar al estadio Panatinaikos y visita andando pero fue en bus y sin entrar al estadio. Translate this opinion into English.

Excelente las dos guías María y Areti, gracias a ellas hemos podido hacer la actividad, suspenso para la empresa hubo una confusión, por mi parte, con la hora de inicio, pregunté al operador la posibilidad de incorporarme, si podia localizar a la guía y su respuesta fue que la guía no tenía móvil, eso sí me facilitó las entradas, en el Partenón nos encontramos con María y al comentarlo con ella hicimos el tour y luego ella localizó a Areti, que si tenía móvil, e hicimos el museo . La guia fenomenal, gran dominio del tema y muy agradable, todo en la excursion estuvo excelente, pero desde mi punto de vista el tour inicial en autobus no merece tanto la pena como el resto...ya que es muy superficial. No soy fan de los tour panoramicos desde el autocar, salvo que no puedas caminar o algo similar. Atenas es muy asequible caminando. La Acropolis espectacular, imprecindible total y el museo muy interesante y agradable aunque desde mi punto de vista le falta recreacion 3D Translate this opinion into English.

The guide was phenomenal, extremely knowledgeable about the subject and very pleasant. Everything about the excursion was excellent, but in my opinion, the initial bus tour isn't as worthwhile as the rest... as it's very superficial. I'm not a fan of panoramic bus tours, unless you can't walk or something similar. Athens is very accessible on foot.
