Athens Electric Scooter Tour
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Calle Chatzichristou, number 18, where, once we're ready, we'll start this fun tour of Athens on electric scooters.
After explaining how to correctly and safely drive these vehicles, we'll begin the tour by heading to the neighborhood of Plaka, also known as the neighborhood of the Gods. We'll explore its narrow and labyrinth-like cobblestoned roads, where the 19th-century Neo-Classic houses stand out.
From there, we'll pass by the Roman Agora, an ancient public square in Athens. You'll see how some parts of the courtyard's columns are preserved, as well as a small area where the public bathrooms once were. We'll also admire the Tower of the Winds, which stands over 39 feet (12 meters) tall and was a clock tower for Athenians.
To the north of the theatre, you'll marvel at Hadrian's Library, which is named after an emperor who sought to restore Greece's capital to its former glory, as it was weakened by wars and invasions.
We'll continue our tour along the National Gardens of Athens, an oasis in the heart of the city. This park has more than 1,722,226 square feet (160,000 square meters) and houses more than 500 types of different plants. Amazing!
Then, we'll pass by special and important monuments in the city like the Hellenic Parliament and the Panathenaic Stadium, the headquarters of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Our last stop will be at the Presidential Palace.
Finally, after 2.5 hours, we'll say goodbye at the starting point.
