South American Football Museum Tour
South American Football Museum Tour
At the agreed time, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Asunción and then we'll head to the nearby city of Luque. This Paraguayan town is home to the South American Football Museum, where we'll learn about the evolution of the sport on the continent.
The museum houses trophies from all the competitions organised by Conmebol, the South American Football Confederation. The main club tournament is the Copa Libertadores, equivalent to the European Champions League. On an international level, the Copa América brings together the best national teams and stands out.
In the museum's exhibition, you'll also see numerous shirts, pennants and badges related to legendary South American football teams. Particularly noteworthy are the display cases dedicated to the teams of Brazil and Argentina, the only teams on the continent to have won the World Cup, as well as Uruguay.
In addition, we'll see various balls and other historic objects from different periods, which will help us to understand the evolution of South American football. We'll also find out some interesting facts about Conmebol, which is the oldest of all the continental confederations affiliated with FIFA, dating back to 1916!
After visiting the museum, we'll give you some free time in Luque for shopping. Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Asunción, where we'll arrive at 12 pm.
