Wonderful traditional handicrafts, beautiful landscapes, and enchanting villages. Discover the captivating region around Asunción when you take our fantastic  Golden Circuit Trip.

Golden Circuit Trip

After picking you up from your hotel in downtown Asunción at 8 am, we'll set off to discover the authentic, traditional Paraguayan culture, along the fabulous Golden Circuit.

The tour will begin by learning all about the Christian legacy in Paraguay. In San Lorenzo, we'll visit the Jesuit baroque church and in Yaguarón we'll be amazed by the famous church of San Buenaventura. Its intricate interior decoration contrasts sharply with the austere exterior. The greatest attraction of the trip will be found in Caacupé, the spiritual capital of the country and center of pilgrimage.

The tour will continue to the fascinating city of San Bernardino, where you'll learn all about its German origins. Today it is a perfect summer destination, situated on the shores of Ypacaraí Lake with a fantastic spa for relaxing. You'll have your own free time to explore this wonderful location before we take a brilliant 25-minute boat ride on the lake.

We'll make a midday stop to enjoy a buffet dinner. Then, with our stomach's full, we'll set off to find out all about traditional Paraguayan handicrafts.

Our next stop will be Itauguá to discover the ñandutí, a traditional lace fabric. Later, in Areguá, we'll visit the largest artisan market in the country. Here you can browse for some fantastic souvenirs to take home. The last stop is Luque, the home of gold and silver filigree jewelry. After spending a brief time exploring these captivating streets, you will have your own free time to do some shopping.

When we have finished the Gold Circuit, we'll return to the capital. We'll drop you off at your hotel in Asunción at 6 pm.

Historic Gold Circuit

Are you passionate about history? If the answer is yes, when booking, you can select the Historic Gold Circuit. This will combine Paraguayan history, tradition and art with breathtaking landscapes.

We'll start the morning visiting Sapucai, with its old train station and the colonial houses that gave rise to the English Village. Did you know that this place is popularly known as the cemetery of the trains?

One of our stops will be Yaguarón to visit its famous church of San Buenaventura. We'll continue the excursion in Pirayú, and walk through the old town to get to know its people, its houses, galleries and public buildings... A true journey back in time!

We'll arrive at the Cerro León Camp to learn all about the history of the War of the Triple Alliance. Finally, the last stop of the tour will take place in San Bernardino and its emblematic Ypacaraí Lake

The tour will end back in Asunción at 6 pm.
