Asheville Ghost Tour
Description
On the day of this bone-chilling activity, at the time indicated, we'll meet at Riverside Cemetery, 53 Birch Street Asheville, to begin this tour. As this is the only ghost tour in the whole city that stops off at a cemetery, you're sure to leave feeling a bit uneasy. Ghosthunters, let's go!
As we stroll through the Riverside Cemetry, looking over our shoulders to make sure we're not being followed by someone or something, we'll hear some frightening tales. We'll recount the lives and past of the famous authors who are buried in the cemetery, some of whom have refused to rest peacefully and haunt those who dare tread in this graveyard. Notable figures buried at this cemetery include authors Thomas Wolfe and William Sydney Porter.
Then, we'll continue our ghost tour around Asheville, hearing the story of the infamous mass murderer Will Harris who, in 1906, went on a drunken murderous rampage. We'll have the chance to check out the receiving vault and if we're lucky, maybe even be photographed with the spirits of some German Prisoners of War (POWs). Feeling on edge yet?
We'll then remember the life and tragic death of Zelda Fitzgerald in the Highland Hospital fire in 1948. Next, at the Grove Park Inn, we'll hear the story of the friendly spirit of the Pink Lady who has wandered the halls of this establishment since her untimely death in the 1920s after falling from a balcony. We'll also learn about the Riverside spirits and those that can be found around Erwin's pauper graves.
Lastly, we'll uncover the tragedies that unfolded at the murder hotel and family reunions at the Basilica of St. Lawrence, as well as the Brown Mountain Lights which have baffled even scientists for centuries.
After 1 hour together, this Asheville Ghost Tour will be brought to an end. Until next time!
