Arusha Guided City Tour
Arusha Guided City Tour
On the day of your guided tour, meet your guide at 8 am next to the Clock Tower, one of Arusha's most recognisable landmarks. We'll spend the day exploring the Tanzanian city both on foot and by public transport, immersing us in the lively feel of daily life alongside the locals.
Our introduction to Arusha will begin talking about German colonisation of the region, as we explore the local market, home to endless samples of Tanzanian gastronomy and handicrafts. And we'll also take in the Maasai market, full of 100% artisanal pieces, made by the women of this famous tribe.
Next, we'll take a mode of public transport popularly known as kifodi to reach the outskirts of the city centre: the ideal way to discover the delights of the best food stalls in the area! After treating yourself to local specialities, we'll head back into the centre of Arusha again.
During the guided tour of the centre we'll visit the main points of interest that make this city so popular with tourists. Its location, close to the jewels of Tanzania such as Kilimanjaro or the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, makes this city a hub for those who come to the country in search of the country's legendary safaris and hiking.
The tour then comes to an end at 2 pm, in the centre of Arusha.
