Day Trip to Mount Kilimanjaro
Tour Highlights
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Arusha and set off toward Kilimanjaro National Park. After a 3-hour journey through the Tanzanian landscapes, we'll reach the Marangu Gate, one of the entrances to Kilimanjaro National Park.
Embarking on foot, we'll ascend through a wooded area with abundant vegetation, where you'll surely hear and see the monkeys who live among the trees. Throughout the hike, our local English–speaking guide will share in-depth knowledge about the surroundings with you.
After 3 hours of trekking on Kilimanjaro, we'll reach Mandara base camp, situated at 2,740 meters (8,990 feet) above sea level. We'll pause there for about 30 minutes to rest and enjoy a picnic before beginning the descent on foot back to Marangu.
Upon returning to the starting point, a vehicle will be ready to take you back to your hotel in Arusha. You'll arrive at the lodge about 12 hours later, after an excursion that, although not reaching the summit, will allow you to relish the best of Kilimanjaro's breathtaking landscapes.
