Looking for different and original plans in the south of Tenerife? On this horseback ride, we'll enjoy the volcanic scenery on the island and admire its unique vegetation.

Southern Tenerife Horseback Ride

At the selected time, we'll meet at the Xanadu riding center, located in the town of Arona. First, you'll meet the horses and we'll explain some safety rules that you'll have to follow during the activity.

When making your reservation, you can choose to go horseback riding for 1 or 2 hours. In the 1-hour ride, we'll explore the outskirts of a volcanic valley enjoying the flora and fauna in the area. On the 2-hour ride, we'll go to a local beach, where we'll also admire the area's plants and animals and see a black sand inlet

During this horseback riding tour, we'll ride around the equestrian center discovering the most characteristic Canarian wildlife and vegetation on the southern slope of the island. We'll spot cacti, tabaibas, and, also, we'll look at the characteristic volcanic formations of Tenerife. What's more, we'll admire an ancient crater and an impressive river of solidified lava.

Lastly, we'll return to the equestrian center and our tour will come to an end.

La excursión fue muy chula y el guía(Willy)muy atento y agradable. En la descripción pone que durante el trayecto veríamos un antiguo cráter y un río de lava solidificada pero no fue así, y el guía no sabía a qué nos referíamos. No dejo de recomendar la actividad por ello, porque a la playa sí llegamos y fue increíble, pero digo esto porque debería borrarse de la descripción. Translate this opinion into English.

The excursion was very cool and the guide (Willy) was very attentive and pleasant. The description says that during the trip we would see an ancient crater and a river of solidified lava but that was not the case, and the guide did not know what we were referring to. I can't stop recommending the activity for this reason, because we did get to the beach and it was incredible, but I say this because it should be deleted from the description. Opinion translated. Enjoying these animals is always a different, beautiful activity with a special appeal. We did a route in a terrain that has ups and downs, that faces you to the beach and Teide, and we were able to do it without having previous horseback riding experiences. This was a fun experience and well worth doing. Me and my daughter 14yrs did it. My daughter had done a little horse riding, but not me. Lucky the horses are very good and well behaved. It’s a little confusing when you arrive there, as you don’t really know where you should be & have to just ask random people in hope that someone can help you. We found a lovely lady called Adele that went above & beyond to help us, she was amazing. Would do it again for sure!
