Get in touch with rural Colombia on this excursion to Finca Recuca from Armenia. You'll dress up in local clothes and discover all about the process of coffee production, one of the most typical products of the country.
Finca Recuca Tour
After picking you up at your hotel in Armenia at the appointed time, we'll take a 30-minute drive to the popular Finca Recuca, a park in the middle of nature that will give you a taste of life in the coffee-growing region of the Eje Cafetero.
When you cross the gate of the Finca Recuca you'll stop being a tourist and for a few hours you'll become a local farmer. Dressed in the typical clothes, we'll be able to experience the culture and tradition of the region from the inside.
Do you want to learn how to produce coffee? We'll take on the role of the coffee farmer, and experience the whole process, from seed to cup.
As authentic muleteers we'll walk for about 30 minutes along the Sendero Cafetero. Amongst the coffee plantations we'll participate in a simulation of the coffee harvest, and we'll even get a ticket issued by the picker's bank! With our harvest in hand, we'll enter the 'grandparents' mill' and the ecological mill, where the coffee beans are currently processed.
To complete the experience, we'll be able to dance with the workers of the farm and discover the so-called 'coffee rite'. We'll learn how to serve and drink it!
After a 4 to 5 hour tour, we'll finish the excursion by dropping you back at your hotel.
