El Escobal Avocado Tour
At 8 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Armenia and take you to a farm to learn how one of the most popular foodstuffs, the avocado, is grown. Did you know that Colombia is one of the world's leading exporters?
On this avocado tour, we'll discover all the curiosities of the avocado production process while visiting the avocado plantations. We'll see trees of the Hass variety, but we'll also get to know others such as Papelillo, Santana, Semil or Choquette, which you'll be able to taste.
During the tour through the crops, we'll learn about the ecological work of this farm, whose crops have received the certification of Good Environmental Practices.
After the visit, we'll take advantage of the farm's products to learn how to make guacamole, the famous sauce made from avocado. At the end of the class, we'll relax while tasting the tasty guacamole and get ready to lick our fingers!
Finally, we'll return to Armenia and drop you off at your hotel at 2 pm.
