Sandboarding in La Joya Desert
We will pick you up at your hotel in Arequipa at 2 pm, and head to the La Joya Desert, an hour and a half from the city. Once there, we will provide you with the necessary equipment to start surfing the dunes.
The dunes here vary between 15 ft high up to 230 ft, making it perfect for all levels and ages. We will start with the smallest ones, to get a feel for sandboarding. After practicing on these, we will get on a 4x4 vehicle that will take us to the highest dunes. This is an experience you will never forget.
After this route through the desert, you will have free time to slide down the different slopes on the sandboard. After launching yourself as many times as you like along the white dunes, we will regain our energy with a refreshing drink and a snack.
We finish the activity by returning to Arequipa, dropping you off back at your hotel at around 5 pm.
Hotel Pick Up
Pick up is included in hotels within a 1 km radius of Plaza de Armas in Arequipa. If your hotel is outside this area, you will have to go to the meeting point located in the Plaza de Armas at the indicated time.
