Majes Valle Pisco & Wine Tour
Majes Valle Pisco & Wine Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa at the indicated time and drive in a minibus to the Majes Valley, a perfect area to get to know part of the Peruvian culture.
The first stop on this tour will be the Toro Muerto petroglyphs. We'll admire these rock art manifestations, made by at least three different cultures settled in the valley. We'll discover everything related to the studies of these engravings, as well as the Incas, the Wari and the Collagua.
Afterwards, we'll go to the Chancharay Spa to take a refreshing dip in the waters of its springs. There, you'll have an hour of free time to enjoy this natural environment.
After the visit, you'll have about 1 hour of free time to recharge your batteries on your own in a local restaurant. We recommend you try the famous shrimp dishes, they are delicious!
We'll continue our tour approaching the hanging bridge of Quiscay. Then, we'll go a little further to get a closer look at a geological formation known as the Profile of Christ.
We'll meet again and head to a winery, to discover the different elaboration processes that are carried out for the production of wines and pisco. We will see the old vats or stills used and, to finish, we will have a tasting.
We'll return to Arequipa accompanied by a beautiful sunset and we'll leave you back at your hotel after 15 hours in total.
