Hike of Misti Volcano
Hike Details
At the designated time we'll pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa to begin our journey to Misti Volcano. Ready to hike up the people of Arequipa's guardian mountain?
After approximately 1.5 hours of travel and an offroad vehicle ascent along the gravel road on the slopes of this active volcano, we will arrive at the Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve and begin a hike from 3400 metres (7874 feet) in altitude.
We'll hike up for approximately 1.5 hours until we reach 3800 metres (12467 feet) above sea level. The narrow and steep path will take us through Andean shrubs, canyons, and queñual forests. At the highest point, you'll be able to admire the impressive sights of Arequipa. The views of Pichu Pichu Mountain will leave you breathless!
Here, you'll have between 30 minutes and 1 hour of free time, depending on the group's pace, to take photos, rest, and have a bite to eat. Don't forget to bring food!
After descending for 1.5 hours, we'll reach the vehicle that will take us back to Arequipa. We'll say our goodbyes in the city centre after a total of 6 hours.
Hike Schedules
When booking, you can choose to do the hike in the morning or the afternoon. If you select the afternoon option, you'll be able to enjoy an incredible sunset over the Arequipa Valley.
