Chapi Sanctuary & Uzuña Lagoon Day Trip
Chapi Sanctuary & Uzuña Lagoon Day Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa at 7 am and board a minibus that will take us to the district of Chapi, an hour and a half away.
During the trip, you'll admire the beautiful landscape of the Andes, full of zigzagging paths and volcanoes, such as the Pichu Pichu, the Coropina, the Misti and the Huaynaputina.
After crossing the volcanic landscape, we'll reach the Virgin of Chapi Sanctuary, a place where many pilgrims travel. We'll discover the reason for this religious worship while admiring the great esplanade, the tower and the Chapel of Reconciliation. You'll be amazed!
We'll return to the minibus and descend from the sanctuary towards the Yanaorco Dam, also known as the Uzuña Lagoon. There, you'll have free time to enjoy a typical trout dish and enjoy a pleasant boat ride on your own on the Uzuña Lagoon.
The day trip will finish arriving back in Arequipa at approximately 5 pm.
