Lake Arenal Kayak Tour
Lake Arenal Kayak Tour
After being picked up from your hotel, you'll set off on the short drive to the Arenal Dam. Locally known as "El Tapón", or "The Plug."
We'll arrive at Lake Arenal, the largest artificial lake in Central America. Once we reach the shore, we'll hop into kayaks for an exciting tour, giving us the perfect opportunity to explore the lake's stunning landscapes. As we paddle through the waters, keep an eye out for native birds like herons, kingfishers, cormorants, and anhingas.
During the tour, we'll also dive into the fascinating history of the Arenal Volcano, including its catastrophic eruption in 1968, which had a major impact on the region. Along the way, we'll hear interesting stories and fun facts about the dam we're kayaking through, adding an extra layer of discovery to the adventure.
We'll finish our kayak tour by returning to the lake's shores. From there, we'll head back to your hotel, wrapping up this exciting 3-hour experience.
Finally, you'll be taken back to your hotel in Arenal.
