Calling all bird lovers! If you're in Aracaju, don't miss this excursion to Parque dos Falcões. We'll see the amazing birds of prey that fly over the Brazilian sky and learn many curiosities about them.
Parque dos Falcões Excursion
At 8 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Aracaju and drive north. After a 45 km drive, we'll arrive at Parque dos Falcões, or 'Hawk Park,' located in the middle of the Serra de Itabaiana mountains.
Once there, we'll start a tour of the park, which is in fact the only raptor breeding and conservation center in Latin America. Moreover, this is the only wildlife area in Brazil authorized by IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of Environment and Natural Resources) to care for animals of this type.
During the visit, we'll see how injured and captured birds are cared for so that they can be rehabilitated and have the ability to reproduce. Of course, we'll also learn about the habits and behaviors of these birds, many of which inhabit diverse ecosystems in this area of northeastern Brazil.
Among the more than 360 birds of prey in the park, we'll see different kinds of hawks, owls, caracaras, and many other species. You're sure to be amazed by both the beauty and intelligence of these magnificent birds. During the visit, we'll even be able to witness their majestic flight in a demonstration.
After the visit to the park, we'll return to your hotel in Aracaju, where we'll arrive at 1 pm.
Hotel pickup
This tour includes pickup from the hotels in the central area of Orla de Aracaju. If you're staying in other areas of the city, we'll provide you with an alternative meeting point.
