Aracaju Markets Tour + Museu da Gente Sergipana
After picking you up at the time of your choice at your hotel in Aracaju, we'll embark on a cultural tour of this popular coastal city in the state of Sergipe.
We'll make our first stop at Parque da Cidade, where you can take the Aracaju cable car to admire the municipal zoo from the sky. Next, we head to the city's main food markets.
The big markets in Aracaju are Antônio Franco and Virgínia Franco. We'll visit both to check out the local handicrafts, including outstanding embroidery, lace, straw objects, and ceramics.
We'll continue our tour of Aracaju by visiting the Museu da Gente Sergipana ('Museum of the People of Sergipe'), a museum with an interactive exhibition that will teach us about the culture, gastronomy, festivities, and folklore of the northeast of Brazil. The celebrations of this part of the country are sure to surprise you, as well as its customs and traditions.
The last stop will be the Largo da Gente Sergipana, a beautiful set of colorful sculptures representing different trades and characters of northeastern Brazil. Located on the banks of the Sergipe River, this piece is one of the region's most outstanding works of art.
After admiring the sculptures we'll return to your hotel in Aracaju, where arrival is scheduled for three hours after pickup.
