Description
Between 7:30 and 8:40 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel, and at 9 am, we'll start our tour of Aracaju, which will take us to admire the main charms of this city.
During the tour, we'll combine walking and minibus rides to get a complete overview of the capital of the Brazilian state of Sergipe.
The first stop will be at Largo da Gente Sergipana, a monument made up of eight sculptures that pay homage to the folkloric manifestations of Sergipe. Have you heard of the caboclinhos, or the taieira, and we'll tell you all the details!
Afterwards, we'll spend an hour exploring the municipal market of Aracaju and the Albano Franco market. There we'll see the raw material of Brazilian cuisine and different samples of local handicrafts.
We'll also climb the San Antonio hill, which has a very special link with the history of this capital city. There we'll review the past of Aracaju while enjoying an incredible panoramic view of the city from the heights.
We'll then visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, a late 19th-century religious building that combines elements of neo-classicism and neo-gothic. Nearby, we'll also discover a lace-making technique that has been declared Cultural Heritage of Brazil.
To round off the activity, we'll go to Praia de Aruana. There, we'll leave you two and a half hours of free time for lunch and a refreshing dip in this white sandy paradise.
We'll finish the tour by dropping you off at your hotel between 3:30 pm and 4 pm.
