Antigua Guatemala Museum Tour
Description
At the time indicated, we'll meet at the designated meeting point to start this tour around the museums in Antigua, Guatemala. We'll learn about this historic city and its different ages through its cultural institutions.
Firstly, we'll visit the Colonial Art Museum, which is home to an important collection of artistic pieces, dating back to the 16th century up to the 18th century. We'll largely see paintings and sculptures with religious themes and in the baroque style.
Then, we'll head to MUNAG, which stores national treasures from pre-Hispanic, colonial and republican times. After exploring its various rooms, we'll visit the Holy Week Museum, an institution that displays one of the most important traditions in Guatemala, showing architectural and decorative items.
After this tour of the city's museums, we'll go to a local restaurant and enjoy a typical Guatemalan lunch.
Having finished this meal, we'll end this 3.5-hour tour back at the meeting point
