At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Antigua Guatemala, and head to Panajachel whose indigenous traditions remain deeply rooted in every corner of this dynamic Guatemalan town.
Arriving in Panajachel, we'll board a boat ready for a cruise across Lake Atitlán. The lake is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful in the world. See it for yourself as you admire the spectacular view of the Tolimán, Atitlán, and San Pedro volcanoes towering over the sparkling lake.
The boat trip will take us to San Juan La Laguna, a picturesque town where we'll get to see the Tzʼutujil people's traditional way of life. The Tz'utujil people are one of 21 different Maya ethnic groups that still live in Guatemala. Learn about the typical products and crafts that are made in the region, like the vividly colored tunics embroidered with animals and flowers.
After touring the streets of San Juan La Laguna, we'll return to Panajachel by boat. Here, you'll have free time to eat or explore the small-town streets at your own pace.
Then, after an envigorating10 hours together, the tour will come to an end back at the meeting point in Antigua Guatemala.
