If you're spending a few days in Antigua Guatemala and feel like exploring the stunning natural surroundings of the city, join us on one of our day trips! Pacaya Volcano Excursion (6 hours)
On this trip, we'll travel to Pacaya Volcano National Park, where we'll hike along the foothills of the mountain to discover the areas of active volcanic ash and smoke vents. Did you know that this crater is one of the most active in the Americas?
We'll traverse pine forests until we ascend to the most arid areas, where the lava has not allowed for any type of plant life. We'll see the Caldera Lagoon and the Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango volcanoes. In addition, at some of the lookout points, we'll get a great view of the immense deep blue Pacific.
As a cherry on top of this fascinating hike, once we reach 2552 meters above sea level, we'll watch the small eruptions that emerge from the crater.
This trip will be similar to the one we do on the Pacaya Volcano tour.
Altamira & Hobbitenango Excursion (4 horas)
On this tour, we'll visit the two best natural theme parks in Antigua Guatemala. Let's go there!
These two parks are located very close to one another and each one has its own unique charm. And in addition to the unique and fun activities you'll be able to enjoy there, you'll be surrounded by beautiful mountain forests with incredible views of the valley!
First, we'll visit the Altamira theme park, where you'll be able to take a unique picture with its giant wooden hand. If you work up an appetite, don't worry, because the park has restaurant areas where you can have lunch at your leisure.
Afterwards, we'll move on to Hobbitenango Park - can you imagine why it's called that? There you'll feel like you're in a Lord of the Rings movie surrounded by hobbit-style houses.
About 4 to 5 hours, we'll take you back to Antigua Guatemala.
