Sail the Portage Glacier on a boat and discover Alaska's fauna on this visit to the Wildlife Conservation Center. What's more, we'll also tour Anchorage!
Description
At the indicated time we'll pick you up from your hotel in Anchorage and set off for one of the most beautiful areas of Alaska.
First, we'll drive along the impressive Seward Highway, which is notable for its zigzagging route. Along the way, we'll take in the scenery of Cook Bay and the mountains of Chugach State Park.
Our first stop will be at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Bears, bald eagles, moose, caribou, wolves... Did you know that most of the animals living here have been rescued?
After visiting the Conservation Centre, we'll go to Portage Glacier Lake for a 1-hour cruise. During the summer months, you may see huge chunks of ice break off the glacier and fall into the lake as a result of global warming.
Finally, we'll take you back to your hotel, where we'll conclude this 5-hour total activity.
