Our day trip to Keukenhof and Zaanse Schans will begin at the indicated time from De Ruijterkade, 105. Ready to visit some beautiful tulip gardens and the iconic Dutch windmills?
Once we're on the bus, we'll head into the Dutch countryside and enjoy the panoramic views of the tulip, daffodil and saffron crocus fields that cover the region. You'll be amazed by this multicoloured blanket of flowers!
Upon arrival at Keukenhof, one of the most famous flower parks in the world, we'll take a 45-minute guided tour. We'll learn about its history, cultivation techniques and the importance of tulips in Dutch culture. Afterwards, you'll have 2 to 3 hours of free time to explore the spectacular gardens at your own pace.
After immersing yourself in the floral paradise of Keukenhof, our journey will continue to Zaanse Schans, a picturesque village famous for its windmills and traditional charm. Accompanied by your guide, you'll walk through the streets to discover the history of this iconic place.
During the visit, you'll stop at a clog factory, where you'll see first-hand how craftsmen create these iconic wooden shoes. We'll also visit a cheese factory to learn all about how Dutch cheeses are made and, of course, taste some of the most delicious varieties.
Afterwards, you'll have another hour of free time to explore the village at your leisure, admire its picturesque wooden houses and enjoy lunch.
Finally, we'll make our way back to Amsterdam, where this 9-hour tour will come to an end.
