Description

The setting of the Keukenhof Gardens was used during the 15th century as the game reserve and herb garden for the kitchen of Jacqueline, Countess of Hainaut. This is where the name of the garden comes from: it directly translates to "the kitchen garden."

Over the centuries, the garden has passed through numerous private hands until it was acquired by the foundation that transformed it into how we know it today: an annual event that attracts millions of visitors from all over the world.

Today, Keukenhof is 32 hectares (80 acres) in size, with 15 kilometres (9.3 miles) of winding paths and tons of floral expositions, gardens, and artwork. This has become an unmissable sight for anyone who visits Holland in the spring.

Visiting Keukenhof

This day trip includes round-trip transport by bus from Amsterdam to the Keukenhof Gardens, as well as admission to the park. During the bus ride, you'll gain interesting and helpful insights and information about the amazing sights you'll pass by.

The Keukenhof Gardens is one of the largest flower parks in the world, with over 7 million flower bulbs planted annually. As you make your way through the park grounds, you'll admire more than just tulips. You'll be captivated by endless rows of hyacinths, daffodils, and lillies!

Depending on availability, you can also book a free 1-hour Amsterdam canal cruise, making this trip even more special. This canal cruise can be done at the start or the end of the day. The decision is up to you!

To book the 1-hour canal cruise, just show your Keukenhof tickets and your booking confirmation email to any of our colleagues at the following Tours & Tickets shops: De Ruijterkade 34A or Damrak 26.

We recommend that you book the canal cruise tour 2 hours before the bus tour, or 6.5 hours afterward.

Il viaggio è andato bene; l'autobus ci ha portato al parco ed è stato molto puntuale anche nel rispettare l'orario di ritorno. Purtroppo una delle cuffie non funzionava. All'andata l'attesa per poter salire in autobus è stata un po' lunga, dovendo arrivare con anticipo. Personalmente credo che sarebbe stato più utile indicare come luogo in cui acquisire i biglietti l'ufficio Tours&Tickets presso la stazione piuttosto che "agenzia Lindberg". Ad ogni modo siamo soddistatti. Grazie

I love this activity but I don't have time to all visit. I propose to visit the park in 4 hours and can you explain in your announce that the parc don't accept cash! And the prix of water bottle and all food is much more expensive..Fortunately I had my food and water with me.
