On this motorbike sidecar tour of Amboise you'll ride through the famous Loire Valley. Along the way, we'll see the châteaux and vineyards of the area, and visit the city of Tours.
Amboise & Tours Motorbike Sidecar Tour
We'll meet at the Amboise Tourist Office at the appointed time, and from there we'll set off on an unforgettable motorbike sidecar tour of the Loire Valley.
We'll start the tour with a visit to the most important monuments of Amboise, including the Royal Château and the Clos Lucé Château. Did you know that the Florentine genius Leonardo da Vinci spent his last years in this palace?
Next, we'll stop at the Belvédère viewpoint to look out over the river Loire as it flows through Amboise. In the middle of the river, we'll see the iconic Île d'Or - do you know why it's known as the golden island? We'll find out!
After touring the historic centre of Amboise, we'll continue our sidecar tour heading west. We'll drive through a beautiful vineyard area on the banks of the Loire until we reach the city of Tours.
Once in the town, we'll visit the main sites of the old town to admire iconic monuments such as the Saint-Gatien cathedral or the Charlemagne tower. We'll also stop at Place Plumereau, one of the most beautiful squares in France, to see its half-timbered buildings.
From Tours, we'll finally return to the meeting point in Amboise, where we'll arrive four hours after our departure.
What are the motorbikes like?
The vehicles will be driven at all times by the guide. Each motorbike has a maximum capacity for 2 passengers: one on the motorbike itself, behind the guide, and one in the sidecar.
