Tour of Chateaux de Villandry & Azay-le-Rideau + Loire Winery
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the meeting point of your choice and start a fascinating tour of the Loire Valley. Are you ready to visit two of its castles and a winery? Let's go!
First, we'll head to one of the most famous fortresses in the Loire: the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau, which is located on the Indra River. Upon arrival, we'll learn about its history, as well as the details of its construction, considered one of the best examples of the French Renaissance.
We'll explore the most important rooms and gardens of Azay-le-Rideau and learn about the most important events that took place here.
Then, we'll continue the tour at the Château de Villandry. We'll stroll through the estate's elegant gardens and learn a lot of interesting facts about this fortress. We'll also go up to its viewpoints to get the best views of the Loire Valley.
After these visits, you'll have an hour of free time to grab some lunch in the local area - your guide will recommend some good spots! After we've eaten, we'll visit a family-owned local winery to explore its vineyards and learn all about winemaking in the Loire Valley. And of course, at the end, we'll do a wine tasting!
Finally, we'll return to the starting point and end the tour after 9 hours of sightseeing.
