Pompeii & Vesuvius Day Trip
At the scheduled time, we'll see you at the meeting point of your choice and set off for the ancient city of Pompeii. Get ready to travel back in time to one of Italy's most important historic monuments!
After a 50-minute drive, we'll arrive at our destination and take a guided tour of the ruins of Pompeii. We'll revisit the 24th of August 79 AD, when Vesuvius erupted and buried one of the most prosperous cities in the Roman Empire.
We'll see the remains that were found during the excavations of Pompeii, such as the forum, the baths and the theatre. As we explore this World Heritage Site, we'll learn about what daily life was like. Afterwards, you'll have 1 hour of free time to have lunch at a local restaurant.
Feeling fuelled up for the next activity, we'll head to Mount Vesuvius. We'll ascend the first 3,280 feet (1,000 metres) by bus and then walk the rest of the way up to the top of this famous volcano. When we get to the top, we'll admire unbeatable views of the Bay of Naples.
Finally, we'll head down the volcano and hop back on the bus. We'll arrive back in Maiori after 10 hours of exploring.

- Praiano: Bar del Sole at 7:30 am. This option has a supplement of € 10 (US$ 10.50) per person to be paid at the pickup point.
- Amalfi: Piazza Flavio Gioia, Bus stop to Ravello at 8 am.
- Maiori: Hotel Panorama at 8:20 am.
