Tocantinzinho River White Water Rafting
Description
Leaving your hotel, Alto Paraíso de Goiás, you'll take a one-hour bus ride where you'll arrive at your departure point along the river. Before jumping into your raft, you'll have a strong breakfast of coffee and sandwiches.
After breakfast, your tour guide will give you a brief explanation of proper rafting and safety protocols and you're ready to start the day full of adventure down the Tocantinzinho River. You'll raft a total of 30 kilometers (18.9 miles) over 8 hours while making a few pit stops along the way.
The route begins near Praia dos Ipês where you'll continue downstream to see two of the river's canyons. As you continue, you'll experience a myriad of different rafting levels, from rushed adventure-packed currents, to calmer waters that allow you a moment to appreciate the natural landscape around you.
The route reaches its culmination at a third and final canyon where you'll leave all your rafting gear. Here you'll also have a moment to eat a delicious lunch of rice, beans, salad, vegetables, and meat or fish. A filling meal after an adventure-packed morning!
Once you've rested a bit, you'll head back upstream and view the breathtaking sunset over the Chapada dos Veadeiros. Without a doubt a sunset image you'll never forget.
You'll end the day on a quiet bus ride back to your hotel Alto Paraíso de Goiás.
