Rafting on the Paraná River
Description
We'll pick you up at 6:00 am at your hotel in Alto Paraíso de Goiás. From there we'll travel to one of the main river courses in South America. After a journey of approximately three hours, we'll arrive at the banks of the Paraná River, where the instructor will explain the safety rules.
After this brief technical talk, we'll get ready with all the necessary equipment and start rafting on the Paraná River, the largest river in the Chapada dos Veadeiros! Along the journey, in which we'll paddle 10 kilometres for 6 hours, we'll cross the Lapearão rapid, class II, and the Funil do Paranã rapid, class IV. We'll also make four stops along the way to admire the landscapes inhabited by the Kalungas tribes.
We'll continue rafting down the Paraná River on the stretch that runs next to the village of Vai das Almas. In this area of calm waters, we'll be able to spot the famous Paraná river dolphins and other species typical of the region, such as green iguanas.
The rafting trip will end at Vai das Almas, where we'll have a typical Kalunga lunch including rice, beans, cassava, vegetables, free-range chicken and salad - the best way to recharge your batteries after an intense morning of paddling!
After eating, we'll return to Alto Paraíso de Goiás, arriving at your hotel at around 5:30 pm.
