Canyoning in Chapada dos Veadeiros
At the indicated time, we'll meet you at the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, a natural reserve located in the district of Goiás.
First, we'll have a brief talk about safety and technical rules and provide you with the necessary equipment. Then, when we're ready, we'll walk to the area authorized by the Chico Mendes Institute of Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio) for the practice of canyoning.
Once there, we'll begin this activity in which we'll cross through canyons and rappel down waterfalls. We'll begin by rappelling down a 6-meter crevice located between walls. The second obstacle we'll encounter will be a 9-meter-high waterfall – it's sure to be exhilarating!
After climbing about 33 ft (10 meters), we'll arrive at the Carrossel waterfall, one of the most popular natural attractions of the Chapada dos Veadeiros. We'll also rappel down some sections of the Garimpão waterfall and then swim in the natural pool at its base.
From the top of the waterfall, we'll enjoy incredible views of the Preto River valley. We'll then rappel down more cliffs, ranging from 17-131 ft (5.23-40 meters).
Finally, we'll return on foot to the starting point to conclude the activity after 6 hours.
