We'll meet at the indicated time at Calle Belén in Almería and set off on an hour's bus journey to the town of Tabernas.
When we arrive, we'll visit the Terrera Ventura interpretation centre to learn about an ancient civilisation that lived in the desert 3000 years ago. You'll also discover how the Tabernas Desert formed and the characteristics that make it so unique.
You'll climb the steps of the town's castle and delight in the spectacular views offered by its towers of the desert and the Filabres and Alhamilla mountain ranges.
Fun fact: during the 60s and 70s the desert was known as the European Hollywood, as many famous old western films were shot there! While enjoying the desert landscapes, we'll learn interesting facts and hear curious stories about the films that were shot in the area.
Then, we'll go on a walking tour through the historic center of town, admiring its elegant houses and religious monuments like the church of Our Lady of the Incarnation, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.
The next stop will be Fort Bravo, a western-style theme park also known as Texas Hollywood. We'll spend 4 hours enjoying free time to explore the park and watch cowboys on horseback, cowboy duels, cancan dancers... You won't be bored!
